JULY 4TH:
THE ANNUAL 'FLYING'
PANCAKE BREAKFAST!

The Annual "Revolutionary" Flying Pancake Breakfast is here once again!
Join us at the Historic Wayzata Depot!

Since 2005, the Flying Pancake Breakfast has invited hungry guests to the Wayzata Depot,
402 Lake St. E., Wayzata, MN 55391, on July 4th, from 8 am -12 noon.

Please join us at this annual lakeside celebration, hosted by the young teen members of
The Lake Minnetonka Society of the Children of the American Revolution.

For the “flying” part of the breakfast, over 1,200 guests use their plates to catch airborne pancakes
flung by the cooks stationed behind the griddle. Walk-up service is also available.
The breakfast also includes sausage, coffee, and cold drinks.

The event runs 8 a.m.-noon, with a 10 a.m. program featuring a flag raising and rifle salute.
The breakfast is $9, and USA Veterans and active duty service members eat free of charge.
Guests mingle around the miniature railroad in the Depot Garden, enjoy the lakeside views,
and learn about the history of the Revolution - all while enjoying a fun, flying meal.

The patriotic event is a service project by the young members of the Lake Minnetonka Children of the American Revolution as a way to present an educational, historical and fun event that honors veterans.

The 7th Pennsylvania Regiment of Revolutionary actors, the Sons of the American Revolution Color Guard, and the Daughters of the American Revolution will return to join the celebration.
Period-costumed actors will their muskets, talk about their uniforms and educate visitors
on the history of Independence Day and the men and women who helped found the nation.

Event proceeds traditionally are granted to support veterans charities.
For example, in 2023, C.A.R donated $5,000 to support Veterans Resilience Project,
to help provide critical mental health therapy to our Veterans.

For more information, and to join us this year, please follow us on Instagram and Facebook,
and/or email us at CARLakeMtka@gmail.com.

We hope to see you at the Breakfast every year!

For the "flying" part of the Fourth of July Revolutionary Flying Pancake Breakfast, hungry guests of all ages were invited to use their plates to catch airborne pancakes tossed by cooks stationed behind the griddle at Depot Park in Wayzata.

The Sons of the American Revolution Color Guard marched through Wayzata's Deport Park during the Fourth of July Revolutionary Flying Pancake Breakfast.  Returning for its 16th year, the lakeside celebration was again hosted by the Lake Minnetonka Society of the Children of the American Revolution.
